Welcome to Human Installations!

We would like to thank you for your participation to our “Chrysalis” project that will happen November 8^th thru November 9^th. It’s a 24 hours no stop live-performance that will physically take place at Fortezza da Basso in Florence (Italy) hosted by the Florence Tattoo Convention, and from there broadcasted in live streaming.

Kyrahm created the performance Human Installation 0: Chrysalis in 2009. She remained closed in a cocoon for 27 hours in the middle of a square of Rome, looked after by her own mother who cared about her basic needs. The performance, broadcasted in live streaming, opened Mut-Azioni Profane, Body performance art festival conceived by her and curated together with Julius Kaiser. In 2010 Chrysalis was present in Ferrara (Italy) at the V International Contemporary Art Biennale, and in 2012 it was awarded with the Premio Adrenalina at the Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Roma.

At Florence Tattoo Convention Kyrahm will stay in the cocoon for 24 hours and Julius will coordinate all the multimedia.

We want to focus our attention to the importance of the sharing act, thus the collective ritual.

Thanks to your support and collaboration the Chrysalis will be spread around the globe. With a simple embedded code to be added to your website it will be possible to share the stream with your visitors. You may also want to involve any other entity that might be interested in participating to this project, or organize public projections and screening in any location.

LIVE STREAM INSTRUCTIONS

Friday 8^th November

• 3.50 p.m. Live Streaming broadcast STARTS
• 4.00 p.m. Live performance (Kyrahm gets in the Chrysalis)

Saturday 9^th November

• 3.30 p.m. Kyrahm comes out of the Chrysalis and gets to recover (eating, drinking etc), and then she will leave. This period may vary depending on the situation.
• 4.00 p.m. approximately Live streaming broadcast ENDS
